Who wants to come out and play and celebrate kate? We can reminisce, laugh and generally talk rubbish! She would have loved it.

If people want to just join in for the Park run then we wil meet you there 08:45 ish.

The more the merrier, it would be great if you could wear Rugby Tri colours!!

It was with great sadness that Rugby Triathlon Club has learned recently of the tragic death of our popular fellow member Kate Vanloo following a collision with a car whilst cycling.

Kate touched many of our lives as a fierce and determined triathlon competitor, a great coach and as a valuable member of the Club’s Management Committee.

Several of the Club’s perpetual trophies bear testament to her competitiveness. She won the Club’s Olympic Distance trophy in 2015 and all three Middle Distance trophies in 2013.

As a coach, Kate had recently passed her BTF Level 2 qualification and spent much time imparting her knowledge and enthusiasm to fellow members at various of the Club’s training sessions. She inspired and motivated many.

Kate was a great asset to the Club as a member of its Management Committee. Her primary role was that of Kit Co-ordinator where she successfully managed the purchasing and sales of club kit as well as arranged the design and delivery of the Club’s new look clothing. But that was not all, in recent years she was instrumental in organising the Club’s Training Days which were very successful.

She will be greatly missed by all of us.
