...if you want one you have to ENTER the Viridian Daventry Triathlon on Sunday, August 28th.
Race sponsor and local Daventry business, Viridian Nutrition, has combined its creative and ethical skills to provide a very special finisher’s medal. By combining recycled bike chains with sustainable bamboo the sponsor has produced a truly unique memento for every race entrant.
Tom Welch Marketing Manager at Viridian Nutrition said: “We’re a young vibrant health company and with 12 colleagues racing this year I felt it would be fantastic to support our local triathlon and encourage more people to take an interest in their health, fitness and environment.”
Now in its fifth year, the Viridian Daventry Triathlon will bring novice and experienced triathletes together in a fast sprint race which starts with a 400m swim at Daventry Leisure Centre, followed by a 20km bike ride through the surrounding countryside and finally a 5km run around Daventry Country Park with the finishing line right in front of the district council offices in Lodge Road.
The race is being held in support of Rugby Triathlon Club’s two charities: Alzheimer’s Society and PWSA. It is open to individuals or relay teams over the age of 15 and costs £35 for an individual entry and £51 for a relay team.
